The main thing i love about this gate is the actual gate was wide enough for my big booty to get through cuz most other gates the opening was made so narrow i have a hard time getting through
Fits in my wider than normal doorway. Keeps my 60 lb dog on the right side of life, sometimes in the kitchen with me and sometimes out the kitchen. I like that it swings shut on its on but can be set to stay open if needed. This meets my expectations.
The gate is a great feature. We can go up and down the stairs with ease and the gate closes behind us.
I use this gate to block canine traffic from my entryway. My sneaky Bichon wormed her way past my legs and out my front door twice and we found her 2 blocks away in the middle of the street. She鈥檚 fine, I wasn鈥檛. I鈥檝e had this gate coming on a year now and love it. I can pull a cart loaded with a case of water and other groceries through the gate and right over the bottom rail with no problem. Amazingly sturdy. Putting it together was an act of faith. Some assembly steps seemed counterintuitive but my hat is off to whomever designed this. Jumping dogs can鈥檛 open it (they gave up right away) and a bright 3 year old was not able to open it even with direction yet adults can open it super easily. Truly one of my top purchases!
Somewhat awkward to put together, once put up, it is strong and sturdy. We installed it on the top of our steps going down from our back deck to keep the raccoons off the deck. We also use it to keep our cat on the deck.
